. It is equipped with a fuel injected engine which eliminates the risk of carburetor icing. Its robust construction makes for a durable aircraft. Used worldwide for flight training, utility, line inspection and surveillance work.
The helicopter is equipped for night flying as well as with a cargo lift hook.
The Schweizer 300 (now owned by Sikorsky) was originally built by Hughes. The helicopter was heavily used by the US armed forces as a training helicopter for the Vietnam war during the -60′s. Schweizer took over the production in the 1980′s and upgraded the engine and made many minor improvements, though the basic design remains the same. Today the helicopter is built by Sikorsky but still called the Schweizer 300.
